We rank number 46 in the Nation as the best place to live. The Town of North Hempstead is fertile ground for businesses to set up and thrive and we do what we can to help that become a reality. We have a vast array of amenities, such as restaurants, shopping, parks, beaches and sites of interest. It's a great place to live, work and play.
The Business and Tourism Development Corporation (BTDC) was founded in March, 2005 to act as a liaison between the Town's government and business community by facilitating economic development and tourism within the Town of North Hempstead. The BTDC, a non-profit, local development corporation, was created to enhance business development and economic opportunities for the North Hempstead business community. Our goal is to help create and maintain jobs in the Town, as well as to help residents and visitors become familiar with our many historic, cultural and recreational resources.
Tourism within the Town of North Hempstead is varied with many interesting attractions, such as the Town Dock in Port Washington, where you can sail, use the water taxi or dine on the water.
We have many events planned for this next year, as shown in the table below.
